PULLING IT ALL TOGETHER

I just might have caught my breath from all the travel and work on SONGS OF GIANTS! 

Carol and I traveled to Chicago for the Windy City Pulp and Paper Convention. It was an excellent show, and my show of originals from Christopher Paul Carey's "Swords Against the Moon Men" was very popular! And, we were held over for an extra day - due to snow!

We also had a paper show in Allentown, PA! But somehow I have had time enough in the studio to deliver the completed SONGS OF GIANTS book to the printer. They are now busy turning the digital files into a printed book. Everything is still on track for June delivery! Meanwhile, I am still filling every spare moment signing the Limited Edition plates and doing sketches for the Artist Proof and Executive Publisher editions. What I have not had time for is the final prep to set up the BackerKit store that will allow you to add to your orders. I expect to have my part of that complete tomorrow. Watch this space.

The past few days have been taken up with me painting the portrait of Robert E. Howard for your Stretch Goal reward. That is now complete. Here is a preview of the painting.

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Thank you all for your incredible support for my dream project! I am thrilled with the response and I can't wait until you all have your rewards! Because of the success of this project, there is already talk of a sequel, one that very well could feature an unpublished text. Hopefully the future will reveal that to us all! And give me a year or two to muster my energy!

Meanwhile, I will enjoy Easter dinner with friends tomorrow. And then I will finish the print files for SONGS OF GIANTS and get those off to the printer before the end of the week. Then I'll take another week to finish signing all the plates and finish the sketches. Then soon a printed book of beauty will be in my warehouse, ready for packing and shipping to all of you wonderful people!

Thanks again, I could not have done it without your help! And I like to imagine that somewhere, Robert E. Howard, Edgar Rice Burroughs and H. P. Lovecraft are also thanking us for creating a book that will give them their proper place as Masters of Pulp Poetry!

We unlocked SONGS OF GIANTS Stretch Goal #9! 

Can we unlock Stretch Goal #10 in the next hour? You guys have done amazing things in this campaign. I have a feeling we can pull this off! Keep sharing and I'll check back in an hour!

SONGS OF GIANTS LIVE!

I know that sounds like I am announcing SONGS OF GIANTS ON ICE or some other live production of the material. And while that might be fun (hey, they made a very popular Broadway musical out of poems about cats) I'm actually talking about doing a live video feed tonight.

At about 8:30PM ET I will be live on my Facebook fan page, You can connect with the page HERE. And while you are there, be sure to LIKE the page so you will get future updates.

So, about two hours before the end of the SONGS OF GIANTS campaign, I will be sharing a preview of the first set of proofs for the book! You will be able to take a look, along with me, at how the pages currently look for just about the entire book. And I'll be talking about some of my experiences from the past year and a half I've spent creating the illustrations.

I'm saying "about" 8:30PM because this will be my first try at doing a live feed on Facebook. And technology doesn't always cooperate on the first try. So be a little patient! And this should be fun!

Meanwhile, keep on sharing the link! We are well on our way to hitting Stretch Goal #9! And I would love for us to hit a full 10 Stretch Goals. We are so very close! I could not do this with out you! Thanks for your magnificent support!

IT IS CRAZY EXCITING HERE!

I got a little confused last night and jumped to our SONGS OF GIANTS Stretch Goal #9, skipping #8! So we got the really cool ribbon bookmark added to the rewards and we are still a little short on the metallic Ink. But I have confidence that we will hit our goal for the metallic ink today!

NEW GOAL

In fact, I have been so amazed at the  steady increase in backers, that I decided to add on one more Stretch Goal. 

I think my illustration for H. P. Lovecraft's PAN would make a for a classic painting. So I am offering everyone a chance to get a signed, color print of a painted PAN as Stretch Goal #10! We have until 10:30PM Eastern Time tonight to add in this terrific additional reward. If we all make a point of sharing the link to the campaign today, I think we just might make it. You guys have been amazing. And we are almost at the end of this wonderful campaign. Thanks for your support!
